Guilty pleasure

I love playing with the magnetized utensils that come with BizFirst meals. The knife handles are best and I can usually get a spoon or fork to spin while clinging to the knife.

My wife just rolls her eyes and sighs.

Any suggestions for other harmless pastimes?

You should attempt to take photos of each course of the meal whilst other passengers stare if you want the full treatment. Be sure you angle in there and get photos of her meal, as well. :D

My wife thought it was odd that I did this earlier this year at a dinner party, and also at a wedding

I walk everywhere with a tape measure and constantly measure seat width and pitch to find the best seat at movie theaters, restaurants, weddings, birthday parties, etc.... :D :p

Try having a conversation with the FA about when the airline got that particular plane and how many times you've been on it and in what seat(s).

It's good to see they have let you back out of the institution. :D

After the meal service, tell a seasoned FA how much you love Frank Lorenzo and that you're glad he gets to fly CO for free for the rest of his life.

That's what I normally do when I forget my 'I "heart" Lorenzo' and BOHICA buttons at home.

You have one of those too? I've decided I only use my BOHICA button while passing by a US check-in desk or gate.

Someone needs to make a BOHICA button in the Easy Button style. US and UA GA's would keep them behind their desks.

And we might come back at ya! We will tell you how many times we have been on that plane, and in which jumpseats. ;):p

Now I cannot say more here as it is going to be part of what we call a TFTG (Tales from the Galley) over at BA Forum - but we had two gentlemen and their teddy bears (I've had one but not three at a time). The Teddies had a tea party. They did not play with the cutlery. They were far too well mannered (;)).

Their owners pay a lot of money to fly in First Class (no upgrades for them!) and I would much rather that then drunks or playing with anything elase. Politeness and modesty preclude me from mentioning what.

Allthough it is not on the plane, when I land at IAH and the red coat asks me if I have a connection, my retort is "Yep, sure do. Where is the connection for Houston?" Some of them actually look at the sheet to find out the gate number, I stand there until it dawns on them, smile and then I walk away. Its actually quite funny! Also, try this one...when exiting the parking garage at IAH, ask the attendant how to get to Seattle from there. I think I have gotten every reaction possible...

We just experienced the magnetic silverware effect for the first time the other day flying UA in F SFO-YVR. Maybe we haven't been around real non-plastic knives in F for awhile!

What's the scientific explanation?

Cheers,
Fredd
