Is There a OP Security Problem with Chase Mailings?
I recently received several Chase mailings showing clearly in a window my present One Pass Mileage Balance (in 7 figures) along with what their proposed offer adds to the balance. Inside the mailing, along with my name and address, is my OP number. I don't know how hard it would be for someone to try crack into my account, but with name, address, OP number, my email address, and knowledge that there's a pot of miles, it would seem to invite someone to try.
Am I being paranoid is is this a potential problem? |
I've had that same thought. Add to that the fact that you get at least one mailing per week... that would likely increase the risk quite a bit.

I would like to stop receiving that junk in the first place, seems to come once a week, is a card that I am not signing up for, so would love to just stop the junk...

... right, because the balance I carried wasn't already good enough for 2 rtw in F... You have to figure that 95% of the people that receive these things don't really have balances above 20k. Let alone 6 or 7 figures. And I really don't think your post (wo)man cares what your OP balance is or will target your house for robbery cause you're (apparently) never there. I think your mail backing up might be a better clue. |
