Onepass sadness - Qantas

I will soon have 210,000 points redeposited to my Onepass. What should I do with them?

After much hard work and patience, I managed to secure 2 business seats to Oz on Qantas last November for this fall for my wife and myself. Now, I'm facing the prospect of having to cancel the trip because of work. :-(
The points will be put back in my account.
I have no status with Continental.
What are the best options for me to use these points? How far out would I have to book to secure business class easy savers to Europe? I am very out of the loop on CO since I made the reservation last November because I expected to take this trip. Any help would be appreciated.

UPDATE:
I will be releasing my 2 business class tickets in the next day or two. Presumably this will return those tickets back to the inventory. If anyone wants a last minute trip to OZ, inquire as to these dates: NYC-SYD Aug. 26; SYD to AUK 9/16; AUK to LA 9/23.
Sadly,
Dukenilnil :(

Sorry about the cancellation/work. Total bummer! It is difficult to predict availibility. I have had good success into Europe with terrible luck to HNL and hit or miss to Tokyo in BF. If you can be flexible you are generally going to be OK into Europe. I am amazed you got the Qantas tickets particularly so early.

I would look for Virgin Atlantic Upper Class rewards if you can. I bet that is the best value.

Heads Up

See update in OP regarding releasing my tickets for those interested.
Thanks for the ideas so far and in advance for any other ideas on using the points.

Can U postpone the trip rather than canceling outright? If yes, check availability.

The QF redemption rates have gone up since the tickets were issued. A change will almost certainly involve a reissue at the new redemption rate. :(

I actually would think that the OP would be OK as long as the new flight was within the 1 year life of the "certificate" that was issued, which in this case would be through November of this year. Beyond that a new reward would have to be issued, which would then require more miles.

And I doubt that the redeposited reward will go back into reward inventory at this point.

Congrats!! Much better than hoping one of us would get to use that seat. Enjoy Oz and NZ.
