5000 mile for one way ogg to LIH

I have more than 5000 mile. I only need one way ticket for OGG to LIH. Co can redeemer two way trip for 5000 mile. Currently the cheap ticket from OGG to LIH is $69. i do not know the milage value. I do not plan to go to travel too often in the future. Should I use my mile to redeem ?

Thx.

Thers not much else you can do with 5000 miles. CO has an auction site, which I've never been to. You may be able to pick up a trinket for 5000 miles?

Or a whole row of tickets to a knicks game...

Provided I understand the OP's question:

CO doesn't fly interisland in Hawaii but you can get a reward ticket through CO on a partner airline for 10,000 OP miles, which is 5,000 each way. You might be able to get just the one-way reward ticket but AFAIK it'll still cost you the 10k miles (as I recall, someone here - sbm12 perhaps? - said in another posting that they'll do this, though you'd need to call reservations to book it, you can't do it online). I'd rather use the 10k miles for a transcon upgrade on CO than a < 1 hr flight in coach.

Typically I find that it's more cost-effective to just buy the fares from the partner airline directly on interisland travel. You can get paid HA flights credited to OnePass to accrue the miles for CO if you choose. I also personally wouldn't fly anything other than HA interisland these days.

You'd probably get more insights in the Hawaii-based Airlines forum.

I already used 10000 mile for OGG to ITO and KOA to OGG for three person which is WP418 and WP417. We would need to LIH and fly back home.

Your only option for inter-island rewards is the Hawaiian Series 1 reward. Like all other CO rewards this is a round-trip reward; this one costs 10K miles. You can book it as a one-way for the same price, but you cannot just book a one-way for 5K miles.

At this point you're probably stuck paying the $69 and moving on.

IIRC, if you connect the award with an existing itinerary you can do one way for 5k. I've done this, but that was some time back, and it may no longer be possible.

Thanks. I called Co. but they do not have the date I want. but it is doable. But I need to talk to call three times and only one telll me. I can't do that. Most reps would just tell me no. They said I need to stay in HNL over night if I want to go from OGG or LIH on Sept 27. or Sept 26 two stop in island flight.

Just ordered the ticket from island air today. Right now is $79.00.
