There is one exception to what you say about AA: the A300-600s have domestic FC seats.

Good catch, true enough.

I used to love Delta, but flying through Atlanta (particularly in the summer) is ... challenging.

I don't see how it's any worse than IAH. Lately they've had delays/diversions almost every day. I don't see that with ATL. I'm starting to wonder if I should have booked DL for my upcoming trip, seeing as how the delays are likely to be less, and ATL has almost zero chances of being hit by a hurricane.

Here we go: I can fly AA on a 777 from LAX-DFW. On LAX-IAH there are 737. Not the same route, but close. Also, CO also flies a 757 on the LAX-IAH route, but most seem to be 737.

AA may have taken the 777 off the LAX-DFW route for all I know.

I just checked and AA doesn't fly any 777s on the LAX-DFW route. The only wide-body flown on the route is a 767 and its only 1 flight a day in each direction.

I've booked my first six DL segments. I must say it's nice to hit Platinum and get to play the field a little.

Maybe I'll run back screaming to CO at some point...but definitely not until the DCA-EWR fares make more sense (if they ever do again).
