Equipment Change Question

I am booking on flight 1579 LAS-EWR on 9/21, CO last night downgraded the aircraft from a 757-300 to a 737-800. The 737 they moved the flight to is set up with the 14 seats in First and according to CO's website that is the Micronesia division aircraft. Does this just mean they don't really know what type of aircraft they will be using at this point and we might get changed again? Any other thoughts? Also we booked this a few months back and we've already had 3 equipment changes too!

Thanks

With all the schedule changes and route cuts starting on 9/3 I wouldn't be suprised if there are a equipment changes; especially when it comes to the 737-800, -900's & 757-200, -300's.

I thought CO planned to have all of their 738s converted to 16F by the end of '07. (excluding Continental Micronesia)

Anyone know what happened to CO 102 today (EWR-AMS)?

It's now posted with a 5hr15min delay. Looks like they left the gate in EWR and returned for an aircraft swap. Not sure if they took off and then had a problem or if the problem occurred before take off roll.

Due into AMS 5 hours late tomorrow. Ouch.

Tons of problems with EWR - other flights have been late 8-9 hours too.

There is a VERY high chance that the equipment will change again. With all the changes going into effect following Labor Day weekend CO has reverted almost all their scheduled 73G/738/739/752/753 domestic routes to show as a 738. This gives them the most flexibility in putting right-sized a/c on routes based on demand. It also means that they are showing the fewest number of F seats possible to reduce the chances of needing to IDB a ticketed F passenger. As things shake out in the coming months expect to see the schedule stabilize a bit.
