Theory proved: Call until you get the "right" answer
 

We knwo the adage: don't like the answer from CS call again. Well in ongoing proof of this theory, I called last week to check on an award with a stop and told it was fine. Didn't book at that time since dates were not yet certain. When I went to book the award, I was told that Itin could not be priced and therfore not booked. Even after I tried the old "I was told by someone else it was fine" trick I was shot down.

Not to be deterred I called a third time and lo and behold Itin was priced and I was able to book the four seats I needed (OK not such a big deal because they were 50K each :( ).


As so they all lived happily ever after...

and

if they didn't they called back until they got they answer they wanted and

then they lived happily ever after

glad to hear you got it, why are you upset about the 50k is it for domestic travel?

yes domestic....But given current fares at least at some level the value of milies has risen. The flights would have priced around $1,100 a piece. Last year that would have been around $600.
