CO-EVA Mileage
Flying on EVA in C from SFO to BKK through TPE. Is there full EQM accrual + 1.5 x base for Platinums?
|
Information can be found here.
|
SFO-TPE:
RDM: 125% C class base miles + 125% Plat bonus. So, you get 250% of flown miles. EQM: 125% C class TPE-BKK: RDM: 125% C class base miles. EQM: 0 |
i think CO policy is u get EQM only if it is booked as CO flight number

That is not correct. I have received EQM for many EWR-TPE-EWR flights. From co.com OnePass Elite qualification miles and points and Elite mileage bonuses may only be earned on Continental Airlines codeshare flights operated by EVA Air to/from Taipei. |
I have received EQM for LAX-TPE-LAX and SFO-TPE. Still waiting for TPE-LAX to post.
I think for intra Asia flights, CO co-share rule applies. |

Since CO doesn't codeshare on any BR flights beyond TPE, that would mean zero EQM or elite bonus.
Correct - you get miles, but no EQMs or bonus. BR is a good airline and a good option for BKK - Mr. BL is headed there on EVA in a couple of weeks on BR. Do ensure it's a CO codeshare flight SFO-TPE (check Co.com if you're unsure) - most are, but not all. I fly BR several times a year and the miles post pretty well (few exceptions, but aren't there always? :) ) |

That may be the official policy, but in reality, you get EQM on the VS/BR/EK flights that also have a CO flight number. Doesn't matter if your ticket is CO or VS/BR/EK.
