EWR Terminal A or C?
I was under the impression that all mainline flight were now (as of 4/1) going out of Terminal C. Yet today I booked EWR-ORD-EWR for next week and I got a confirmation that included the statement that the flights would arrive/depart Terminal A.
I'm confused. |
The switch of all mainline flights to C is currently in-progress. It will not be complete until June.
|
It will get confusing for DCA-EWR flights as more of these are switching over to RJ's (3pm for example DCA-EWR). So while the DCA flights are moving to Term C - some of the DCA flights will stay in Term A as they become RJ's.

Who is going to take over the A gates?
|
As reported on the "Secret" thread, ATL switched to Terminal C today. Other cities still from A.

Things are progressing. They've moved the shuttle boarding corral to the ramp just above the Arrivals monitors. Eventually, it will be moved downstairs.
Looks like ORD and DCA are the only mainline left in A. When I was there today, those were mixed with Express departures to Washington (IAD & DCA), Charlotte, Nashville, and Kansas City. |
This is a PAIN. The shuttle bus is horrible. Even PHL has escalators to take you up and down the stairs!

From about 4 pm on until 6, there is not enough capacity and passengers for intercontinental flights leaving soonest get priority. "Zurich!! Zurich passengers only!! There'll be another bus in a few minutes!!" The idea is not a bad one, but it is poorly executed. |
