Who is Doug Eades?

I was on #1545 yesterday from CLE-IAH. Once everyone boarded, somehow, they were in a situation where one person needed to give up their seat. The lucky lady that had to leave, had another person with her, so they both got off the flight. As they were walking up the jetway, an obvious employee but not a pilot/FA (with a "Doug Eades" nametag) comes up to first class & offers to the FA that he can fly later and give them his seat. By the time he caught up to the people, the GA gave away the second seat to a standby person, so Doug flew our flight. For a good portion of the flight, this guy stood in the FC cabin talking with the FA's and it just made me wonder who he was. Does anyone know? The only other person that I've seen talking to the FA's longer than him was Larry Kellner last year on an IAH-CLE flight.
