Continental DFW-LAX

When will tickets get cheaper for this route? I am trying to get me and four other people (all immediate family) on a reasonable priced flight to LAX from DFW on Continental (now way in hell I'm doing American or Southwest). Do tickets generally get cheaper closer towards Spring Break (week of March 17th), or is it best to book them now? Thanks!

If we all had that "crystal ball" to tell us when flights would get cheaper it would help out tremedously, but as we all know there is no pattern as to when airfares change. I'd suggest using this tool and see what it says. If you are looking at flights around spring break I'll tell you that since we're only a couple months out, it is unlikely that fares are going to come down much at all. Airlines know they have a captive audience around spring break and therefore have no incentive to lower fares.

Oh okay. I just remember one time when we went to New York, prices dropped by about $60 just before Spring Break (this was two years ago).
