My 14 year old daughter and I will lose our silver status come Feb, having both been silver for the last 7 years....she is truly bummed. Hubby however has re-qualified for Plat, having been a lowly silver for the last 3 years of his many years as an elite.

It is undefined. You cannot divide by 0.

26k EQM, my second year making elite silver. I almost only travel for leisure, so I can't complain, but I dream of making Gold, then Plat one day. Have done no MR yet, I'm too far from 50k for it to be useful.

I also have 122k miles, which I have no plan on using soon, since it even one reward trip would probably make me loose silver status.

Platinum again!

EQM: 76,910
EQP: 56

RNE is coming to a FC seat near you--and being as crass and boorish as ever! Now, where did I put my fungus-ridden, rusty toenail clippers?

P.S. Thank you, MBM3, for that HKG tip. ^ Would have been a worthless, filthy Gold without that trip's 25,000+ EQMs. Got any more in your bag for oh-eight?

^ I could use one of those as well! I'd love to head to Asia in '08!

Both my wife and I get to enjoy Plat for another year. She made it with 75,028 and I had 75,749. Not bad for no corporate support. Lots of weekend trips.

Why do you think you would your status?

This year, more than 100 segments, almost 100K miles (yow!). Even my wife and children got in on the action. Wife made Gold, daughter made silver. Oldest son could have made silver if he took my advice and made a MR from BWI to LAX. (RT was $160). However, he had to study for a economics final in grad school and couldn't do it on the plane. Oh well...

Because he needs every flight to count toward earning miles, not burning 'em. I would suggest to Benjh that he/she use those miles for upgrades.

I know it is not quite the same, but I keep track of the amount of miles that I fly. This year it was 381,XXX miles to 9 different countries. No elite status for me, however I did move up in seniority. ^
