PC access on a CO codeshare with non-skyteam parner (J class)
First off - sorry for the length. But here goes:
Last month I was on a flight from TPE-LAX on AA - this being an AA flight # codeshared with EVA. As noted in the title it was a J ticket. Ran into some problems when we tried to use the Admirals Club and were denied access due to fact that even though our tickets were on an AA flight number - EVA wasn't Oneworld - see this thread: http://flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=757671 Resolution to that whole mess was that the AAgents were wrong and that AA clearly states that J class ticket holders (on AA codeshared EVA flights) were welcome. Unfortunately I hadn't read that before I left - I only made the assumption that it was an AA flight number which *should* (in my mind) have allowed us in. So what's the problem? Next month I am scheduled to go back to Taiwan. This time (thankfully) on CO. I am ticketed with all CO flight #s in J. And yes, the international legs will be the EVA codeshare. I don't want to run into the same problem where I am denied access b/c EVA is non-Skyteam. One would think since it is a CO flight number then there should be no problems with access. But I cannot find this spelled out clearly on the CO website as it was on the AA website. I will mention that my dilema was discussed briefly here (below link) but am interested in a bit more input. I'd like to be ready to handle the "denied entry" situation if it does arise. CO Insider - feel free to chime in. TIA! http://flyertalk.com/forum/showthrea...va+club+access |
Does EVA not have a lounge agreement with an airline at LAX?

I would call the CO PC service center and ask as well as call EVA and ask if they have any lounge agreements with CO.

I just called. Theoretically "it's all good" as business class will get you in. We'll see about that. :)
*However* I neglected the fact that my flight out of SEA leaves at 1:30 am. Might throw a wrench into the same-day flight requirements. Did not have that issue with Oneworld (they honored outbound lounge access even though that last AA flight I mentioned left at 12:30 am. Hoping it is the same with CO. |
