Are you sure you work for CO? I'm starting to wonder if you're just a rabble-rouser. That statement is complete rubbish. EVERY letter gets addressed, be it good or bad. None are thrown away as you claim.

I am so sick of hearing about crap like this about my coworkers, there is no excuse for behavior like this towards passengers and it is completely unacceptable. What flight were you on? And what day? I will look up the crew

In that case, as skydiva said, we'll just give our account of what happened and never hear about it again.

Wow Uncle Buck .Maybe YOUR letters to fellow crew members carry more weight than PAX complaint forms!

It's very disappointing to hear of the FAs response to your situation. In addition to agreeing to write the seat up, the least she could have done would be offer you extra pillows to attempt to lessen the discomfort. Very sorry about your experience!
Hey PPTP, he stole one out of your "apologizewithouthearing theothersideofthestory" playbook.:)

A friend of mine once got a note in her v-file from her supervisor that was in response to a customer comment. The note from the supervisor was on one of this little forms that has the little thumbs up picture on it, but the comment from the customer was actually a complaint. I often hear FA's discussing customer complaints and compliments that they have received via their supervisors.

I was starting to think the same thing!

I love writing letters of praise...but only if it means something. When I do this on UA (and their FAs give me plenty of oppty and reasons to write in good letters), I always get a non-form letter from UA appreciating my comment, and telling me how it goes into the employee's permanent file.

I did have reason to write a letter to CO from a flight about a month or so ago, but I was just not sure it mattered. Now, after reading all the conflicting messages in this thread, I am confused.

Yes, please write it. Those involved will be very appreciative. Positive feedback makes most of us want to keep doing good or even do better.

Last summer we had an excellent experience on RT flights to the Carribean, especially 1 flight attendant in first. Such a good experience that I emailed Larry who replied personally thanking me and said he would make sure the crew got his personal thanks. I hope this actually happened...

Wow, you guys really have it in for me on this thread!!

Seriously, I was just stating what I have been told by multiple coworkers (including an inflight supervisor...). Didn't mean to ruffle anyone's feathers.

But if you want to play the "are you really who you say you are game," have at it.

And featherorleather, I was wanting to know the flight info to see if I personally knew the person and had any similar experiences, not to write them a letter. And as it dealt with improper enforcement of an FAR, it was a legal issue.

Cheer up guys, it's Wednesday.

It does. I have written in and flew with the FA later who thanked me for writing a letter so it does get recognized.
