Elite Silver - VIP?
 

Just flew YOW-EWR-OSL, paid BusinessFirst - I'm a silver elite... Noticed the bag tag also said "VIP". Is this for all elites or something special? It also had all thinkable and unthinkable tags on ("connection at EWR", "international baggage", "priority" and "elite access") - but did it make it to OSL? Course not.

How do you know you are Silver Elite? Did is say on the boarding pass or did someone tell you? Only reason I ask is because from your post it seems as if you saw VIP from your luggage tag and assumed you were silver. If this is the case, being in BF gave you the VIP on the luggage tag.

I think 'VIP' will appear on the bags of anyone who is eligible for elite access.

I'm an OnePass Silver Memberfor sure. I'll probably make Gold again this year. Just wondered because I do(did?) get VIP-treatment in some cases in some countries due to safety concerns. In my native country, kids of serving cabinet members run the "risk" of being recognized as "VIPs", being picked up by a car at the gate and not being "allowed" into the normal terminal.(Its fun the first couple of years ;) ) I was just worried that it, somehow, was registered with my OnePass-account. Guess not.
