Should the IAH Do begin in CLE?

So, how many of us are flying out Friday afternoon on flt # 1645 leaving 5:40 PM? Perhaps we should gather together in the PC prior to the flight? I would certainly be open to it. Any thoughts?

You can start in the PC in CLE, but unless you get there WAY before your flight some of us will have been started long before you in IAH :D  :D

It looks like many Cle'drs going to the DO are on the #1645. I will definitely head to the PC before the flight.

I will certainly do my best to make the PC before the flight! I have a couple glasses of premium wine with my name on them!

:D

Count Us In!

The Statuesque Mrs. RNE and I will be on the 5:40 to Houston. We would love to meet everyone and begin drinking Lar' Baby's booze a bit early—if someone would guest us into the PC. ^ Not sure how much time we’ll have there, however. We’ll each get out of work at about 3:00 and head straight to Hopkins. We’re 40 minutes away from airport parking, and probably 20 minutes more to get to departures and through security. That puts it at 4 o’clock or so.

On the flight, we're seated in 14BC, unless I get EUA'd out (and she doesn't get a companion upgrade), in which case I pity the pax seated beside her. But who knows; perhaps I will be magnanimous and give her the upgrade…

…Nah! :D

My advice: wear a cup.

MBM3 Sep 21, 2007 1:48 pm

I am currently sitting in 7C and think we should all plan on wearing hawaiian shirts down on the flight in preparation for the pool party. Heck, by then we will need to maintain our buzz! Time to buy some CO currency!

^^

I checked with him. You're right, he was on our flight, but had to change plans. He'll be arriving at IAH from MAN via EWR.

RNE setting foot in a Presidents Club? Unbelievable. Are you sure you won't be bored to death before the DO? ;)

Being married to the Statuesque Mrs. RNE, one learns not to fear death. :D

But to your point...PC's are intended to be bland, quiet and dull. There are no two way about that; they simply are boring. However, PC's have one redeeming quality: free booze. And RNE is not one to look askance at free booze. ^ As for the Statuesque Mrs. RNE, she likes the "exclusivity" of PC's--though she'd never admit to such snob appeal. So when she travels with me--often on international routes--my platinum status gets us in free, and in we go. Other times, friends or fellow travelers guest us vagabonds in--with much appreciation, I might add...no ingrates, we. Thank you. (You know who you are.) :)

Not technically free, as you either pay membership dues, for Plat status, or Amex/CO Visa fees.

However, I manage to snare enough free booze over the course of a year to recoup my investment :D
