Bump at CLE ?

Search hasn't thrown anything up specific to CO.
I'm flying CLE EWR 03 Sept late afternoon (Labor day) and the flight appears from the seat map to be sold out (I realise seat maps aren't conclusive but don't have access to inventory so it's a best guess).
As I don't need to be in Manhattan until the following afternoon I'm wondering about bump possibilities and looking for advice for any quirks particular to CO to give myself the best chance.
Any advice gratefully received :)

Ask the GA working the flight when they show up at the gate if there is a chance they'll need volunteers. Then stay out of the way. If they need one they'll let you know.

Why can't you access inventory? The rest of us can.

As of today, no it doesn't look good for a bump but you can check www.seatcounter.com as it gets closer. I can tell you that I have gotten bumped out of CLE twice in the last two weeks. Good luck.

What flight are you on is it 624 at 7pm or 524 at 450pm...Both flights show seats on the seat map....Usually a Continental agent the day before will run oversale manager if flight is overbooked....That way if the kiosks are utilize for check-in a prompt will display the oversale and you can volunteer at that time....Keep in mind gate agents do not arrive at the gate till 1 hr before departure...Good luck...:)

This year I've "scored" 7 CO VDB vouchers, three from CLE.

Let the GA get signed in/settled (approx 1 hr. before departure) and then casually ask if they need any volunteers.

Remember if bumped the GAs can re-route you (e.g. to LGA, not London Gatwick :D)

Awww but I wanted Newark ;)

Thanks to those who replied with advice specific to CO..
Seatcounter doesn't seem to display flights for me....not sure why (tried both OE and FireFox) so will simply see what happens.
