When will the iPod integration be available on CO?

Does anyone known when will the iPod integration ports be available on Continental, as was announced last year by Apple?

Will it be on all of the mainlines or just the new aircraft?

Other than the press release, nothing has been said about this. I'd chalk it up to a premature release. I don't think CO is ready to talk about any of this. Didn't the original release come from Panasonic/Apple (not CO)? Why not bring that question with you to the get together in Houston in September?!

What kind of connection is the OP talking about? A power port...YES!!!!!!!!

My main source of iPod frustration is running out of power on airplanes....

A iPod dock connector. So that one can control the playlist with the IFE, and also plays videos stored on your iPod on the personal screen.

But yes, after that initial news release, there has not been any news or update at all.

Support of one technology....

I doubt CO is in any position to support one technology from a private company which has been known to change technology from day to day.

Exactly! OP should be asking when is Steve-O going to go with a standard USB interface? Like the one I use to charge my Blackberry, RAZR, transfer pics from Canon camera, and hook to hard drive; all using same cable.
