"jet set party"

I wanted to let everyone know who will be attending the Big Cigarman Continental event in september we are going to change around saturday night a bit. It is your chance to dress up (if you want to) and join us in the "jet set party". Think James Bond and the Rat pack. We will have a big band standards type band. A poker room with dealers. think Casino royal! There will be a huge upgrade in quality to last years Saturday night. No more standing around drink in hand. And what drinks they will be! And we have a few KILLER suprises I am not allowed to divuldge. However... it is going to be soooo coool. Bring your best guy/gal and don't miss this DO this year! Cigar

Sounds like a lot of fun.

Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to help plan and arrange this event.

I have made a unilateral decision that The Significant Otter will now be celebrating her birthday in Houston...at this party.

Email RSVP has been sent, and we'll be sure to make this party (but likely not the tours or panel discussions). Thanks for organizing this, Cigarman!

When we speak of "dressing up," does this indicate black tie or simply suit and tie? I am happy to break out the tux for Saturday evening, but do not want to show up overdressed if the vast majority of attendees are not turning out in formalwear.

(And, no, I do not have a Dunhill plaid tuxedo to wear to dinner. ;))

I knew it!

I've been saying this for years!

They're brining us all in so they can kill us off in one fell swoop!

Bloodthirsty turks!

:D
Seriously though, thanks for bumping it up a notch cigarman -- I'm looking forward to it!

My S/O is already excited about this, maybe more than me. Sounds like a great evening!

Add BlackJack!

If some charity gambling is going to happen, you should add some blackjack action for those not interested in poker.

I hope a dress code will be provided :)

I concur! I have a nice table and all of the necessities, but doubt they'll fit in the overhead on my 73G from DTW.

Sounds like a fun evening.

Regarding the dress code, I don't intend to go breaking out the tux, but will defintelty turn it up a notch.
