Yes I did read where Cigarman mentioned that. However I did question that thought process, considering the "Big Tour Announcement.." thread needs bumped again....However I reconsidered and looking at the big picture I think you are right.

I just got back from a long weekend in the mountains without airplanes or internet and found this thread. I know I'm going to take a lot of gaff, but I do not find any humor here. Maybe I'm too serious. Does anyone else find this to be too frivolous a thread not serving any real purpose? I spend hours reading on this forum and have found many interesting discussions.
Maybe I'm just too old for this so-called humor.

What have we here a Newbe that doesnt have a single Rant over what their Compensation should be on any of their posts.
I say this calls for a time out for such a Newbe a suspension to think things over. After all if we let this go, FT just might get back to being its true self

I definitely have a few items that I would like to add to the discussion:
1) Threads by mothers demanding special treatemnt at the airport because they are either: pregnant, going to get pregnant
, have small children, might have small children in the future, used to have small children, have children that they think are cute but really aren't but they force everyone to look and/or listen to their rat kids, have small children that will cry the entire 7.5 hours from LIS-EWR like they did on theblakefish's flight last Thursday

2) Any thread posted by theblakefish after 9:00 p.m. CDT
3) Any post from J.Edward that has the words "With Wine" in the title
4) Any post that demands compensation from a flight that was late...
5) Any smart-alec thread/post from fly co to see the yanks

6) Posts from people with no humor 
7) Any threads or posts that refute the idea that CO will begin immediate service to MUC or is going to add MUC as soon as they have the necessary aircraft (A 3rd flight IAH to AMS is interchangable here)
8) Complaining about CO's legroon or pitch.....guess what? It ain't freakin' changing anytime soon, and if that's your main complaint, than go fly a real winner like DL or WN and leave our board alone. "I'm never going to fly CO again due to..."??? WAAAAAA! My reply? BUH-BYE.
9) Anything with the words Canadair, Colgan, Chautauqua, B-84, WHATCHUWANT?, or the phrase "Three hour RJ flight" in it.
10) Discussions of porn viewing on airplanes (you know who you are...)

Oh, it's far too early for that. I think the thread would benefit far more from a roiling debate over whether it should be stickied or not. This debate should, ideally, play out over the course of several months, peppered with brief interludes and non-sequiturs regarding the relative merits of various Belgian-Style Ales, risk-benefit analyses regarding investment in Chad, and whether people sporting "soul patches" should be permitted entry to the President's Club.
I, for one, having begun sipping ale in earnest, have chosen (arbitrarily, of course) to come out against stickyfication by virtue of the aforementioned Cigarman Postulate. Naturally, my inclinations are subject to sway or change based upon unsound principles of dubiously persuasive debate, or even outright obfuscation or redirection.
Also, though this thread most definitely (in the opinion of some) might lean to the OT, please bear in mind the admonition contained in post 1 (and reiterated by our benevolent leader, xyzzy), that we are at all times (here, at least) subject to FT's TOS. The only thing worse than a sticky thread is a locked one
Whether or not this thread is actually OT, or whether it is instead a tangentially topical thought-exercise that explores the personalities of the various contributors to the CO Forum is a wholly separate issue, and worthy of the term "meta."

Bah! Get enough Bombay Sapphire into me, add in some of the old EWR charm, followed by a two-hour ATC ground-hold that delays my rum-drinking excursion to Punta Cana, and I'm liable to start tossing around the C-Word.
In fact, fail to get enough Bombay Sapphire into me (due to lack of EUA on slam-dunk Caribbean route), and use of the C-Word might be even more prolific.
