Executivea en Copa

Just wondering about the food and drink in executive class on Copa. I know the seats don't match Businessfirst, but what about other things?

the planes are configured exactly like CO's 73NG's. CO domestic F seats are the clase ejecutiva seats. Food is like domestic F, perhaps a step up. Some flights you''ll even get two meals. (GRU-PTY...) If you can't get a BF upgrade to GRU, you might be able to get EUA'd via PTY....

Business Class on COPA is a step below CO transcon F but still a very good experience.

First, there are only two choices for an entree even on their longest routes like PTY-EZE. While the quality of the meal is good it is not as nicely presented as CO, for example the entree is pre-plated, heated on the plate and served with a utensil to carry the hot plate to your seat.

The Menu Went Something Like This:
Soup
Salad(no choice of dressing)
Entree(two choices)
Ice Cream with a choice of topping(to have the topping or not)

Again, the meal while not as extensive nor as nicely prepared as CO was serviceable.

I just got back from a flight to Manaus, Brazil through Panama on Copa from JFK. The food was as described in an earlier post, tolerable, but nothing to write home about.

I would add that the new Embraer 190's that Copa uses are nice when seated up front in Business Class. We flew the 190 on the PTY-MAO segments of the trip. The seats were comfortable and the service onboard was the same as on the larger 737 we flew on the JFK-PTY leg.

I had never flown Copa before this trip, but will fly them again when I return to Brazil. After flying for twenty years for business, that is high praise.

Sounds like domestic F on NW.

Similar, but the preparation of the food is a little more elaborate than NW seems to offer, as well the china is a little fancier.

One nice thing about Copa is that use plastic bottles of Soda rather than cans which IMHO taste better at altitude than soda from the can does.
