My goal in life is to beat Scott in airports visited. I'm at about 1/5 his numbers, but watch out, Scott, you will soon run out of airports to fly to! ;)

And thanks to Flightmemory.com, it's now easy to keep my own database of flights. I do wish I had started writing down plane registration earlier. I only started about 2 years ago. :o

CO gets it--thanks Scott and CO!!

I have moved my transcon business to CO--I get more legroom and better meals in Y (exit row) than I do in F on US.

This is why I fly CO:

-Newer equipment.
-Better customer service.
-Fellow FT'ers who are impressed with CO.
-Scott O'Leary who is just as crazy about CO and flying and planes as I am...

Long live CO!

Cool article! Congratulatuions, Scott!

I'm in the middle of a MSP-LGW right now. So far today I've gone MSP-IAH-AUS-IAH... I bought two of these for myself and one each for the fabulous Mrs. Xyzzy and the Xyzzylets.

Bravo, Scott! We are so lucky to have you. Thanks to Larry for supporting this.

Scott is a great asset to CO and FlyerTalk. ^ He almost makes up for CO's vexing policy of awarding 50% elite qualifying miles on many tickets.

So did he mean 12 by a single traveller, or 12 from a single purchaser? :P..
I could see it easily happen for a group of 4, for 3 trips

Same here — I actually started recording registration numbers just two months ago! But thanks to the BTS website I've been able to get them for over half my lifetime flights. I still wish I was able to find out for sure a few, such as my first flights at age 4 on WN, which I know occurred during one of the short periods they were flying 727s. But I've been keeping a spreadsheet since 1999, which is now also on Flightmemory.com.

Now CO Insider is the real celebrity... ;)

Thank you Scott, your presence makes CO board a total different world.

I'd like to dedicate my 303rd post to CO Insider... (wrong thread ? :p )

I mostly lurk and seldom post and the other day I sent Scott a pm to which he responded quicker then my husband would have ;) .

I too want to congratulate Scott, I know first hand how how helpful he is. Now CAL's 'best kept secret' is known by more then just FT.

Geek

Wow, I thought I was an airline geek until I read the facts about Scott: he is most definitely the geekiest :)

I wonder how many 'food' pcitures Scott has? I have hundreds of pictures from BusinessFirst service! Recently, I took to scanning pictures from many years ago. I found that I was taking pictures of food on airplanes in the early 1970s :) I guess the disease starts early.

Only 1000 tickets sold? We must be slowing down. Doesn't anyone remember the Thanksgiving 2000 fiasco at BA where you could by a ticket from anywhere in the US to anywhere in Europe (SEA-ATH, for example) for $20 RT? I believe that somewhere around 4500 of those were bought and BA honored them all. Apparently someone input the wrong number on Wednesday and did not come back to work until the following Monday!

Keep up the good work Scott ^

So now do we need to call him Mr. O'Leary now that he is famous and all?

;)

It was actually Thanksgiving 2002...I remember it well because I was in Australia on a QF Business reward and missed out on the deal!

Vulcan, did you know about AirlineMeals.net?

And at the moment, that site is featuring a CO BusinessFirst IAH-NRT dinner service photo on its front page.

I stand corrected on the date! I, too, missed out, as I was on my Concorde trip to London/Copenhagen thanks to the $1300 in InsideFlyer Magazines I bought!
