email re E miles - scam?

Anyone else get a request to join E miles - One pass miles for answering surveys?
Hesitate to enroll as it might be a phishing scam?

Yes, but it was a long time ago - like January. Did you receive that email today ?

If you don't trust direct link from the email, you can just use the link from CO.COM - OnePass News and Offers -> OTHER

By the way, why did you open the new thread while there is another new thread about e-miles opened today ?

I signed up for it ~6 months ago with USAir. I've earned like 700 miles so far for just clicking through their 20 second surveys. I think ~400 miles posted so far, they only post once a quarter if I remember correctly.

YOU NEED 500 MILES FROM EMILES TO POST THEM INTO YOUR ONEPASS ACCOUNT.

They only give you 200, so you basically need to listen to a bunch of garbage to get 500.

unless you REALLY have a lot of free time this is not a good deal.

TommyC80 Feb 8, 2011 1:42 pm

yeah it's a waste of time.

guitman03 Feb 8, 2011 1:51 pm

additionally, they didn't even give me enough offers to get 500 miles.

Ditto on the waste of time. Started this at DL. Quit real quick.

That there's neither testimonial nor documentation about e-miles' privacy leeching makes me refuse the deal.

The risk-reward ratio seems to be unfavorable as they build a very detailed personal profile on you for a few dollars worth of miles.

It's helped me keep my FF account active. But it's been taking longer and longer to reach the goal since I've been getting only 3 or so e-mail questions/week.

Scam

e-miles plays tricks on its subscribers. They emailed me and in the BIG print tole me my profile matched a survey that would earn me 205 miles. Of course in the fine print it said I may not qualify. People don't have the time to sift through your scams. It's the responsible thing to be more straightforward. I made the time for you and only got partial points! Very discouraging.
