Special meal ordering?
 

Hello,
just wondering how to order special meals (ex: vegetarian) for international flights. I already have some tickets purchased but didn't see that option when booking.

Call the reservations line and request a special meal. Or, you can specify a meal preference in your co.com profile, but I am not certain whether it will trigger a meal request if you have already purchased the ticket (perhaps someone else knows).

Even when ordering special meals online, I have always called to double check. Never had a problem.

The registered preference for special meals doesn't seem to work well, at least between Brasil and the U.S. My wife and I travel the route often, she has a veggie meal preference in her file, and it normally is not there. After many CO reps saying it should, one finally told me that the preference request is essentially useless and you need to call in your request before each flight.
