Wink "All Publicity is Good Publicity"?

What's going on with CO with all the news lately? I think it all started after the two winter storms in the NE when CO hardly gets any mentioned in the press, with B6 grabbing most of the headlines. Since then, I remember reading:

- "772 in near crash at EWR when GE90 exploded at most critical point at takeoff"

- "772 from HKG quarantined with 75 sick passengers onboard - recalling SARS"

- "Heartless pilot kicked coughing girl off his plane"

- "NRT flight diverted to ANC after toothless naked lady pissed over herself in BF"

- "Israeli Air Force seconds from shooting down CO's brand new 772"

Anything else I missed?

Well, actually not all the above made it to the real news channels, and I totally exaggerated the headlines. Just trying to have some fun. Please keep this thread lighthearted if you can.

All of those incidents were exaggerated by the press -- not to mention in your headlines. From what I know of these incidents, they were all handled appropriately. When you run a big airline and move many, many people and airplanes per day, stuff happens.

You have to admit - the news are different from the latest round of news about delays, overworked employees, surly pax. Makes the news more entertaining

Entertainment vs. Transportation

It is good to be entertained while being transported.

Well, this actually didn't make it to the news. Only here and on a.net.

Doubt it. That only happens on United diversions.

If news headlines didn't grab you, then you wouldn't be drawn into their murky lair to ultimately read their advertisements and buy more stuff. Who wants to read the news if it's just the boring old dry truth?

Wink

I think it's time to revive this thread. Lots happened in the last 3 months:

- "Bubba the Love Sponge bashed CO's luggage policy";

- "Penelope Cruz suffered 'panic attack' on 752 stuck @ EWR, delayed other passengers;

- "CO aids flight of murderer to India";

- "Sewage flows down aisle of trans-Atlantic 764";

- "American Idol runner-up put foot on armrest, got into shovel with female passenger";

- "COEX FA threw 18-month old off her plane".

Anything else?
