Presidents Club access question?
I am able to access Presidents Club now using my Amex Platinum card. Can someone let me know what is the process of entering the club? Do you just swipe your card and get in or you have to talk to a real person, show Amex Card, show ID and boarding pass?

My experience has been show AMEX, show BP, both are swiped, access granted.

Any way to enter without a boarding pass?
But as that defeats the purpose of having the AMEX  you can always buy a cheap refundable intra-TX ticket (e.g. IAH-SAT) should you find yourself requiring a boarding pass. |

Boy do I wish FlyerTalk had a "search" feature or "FAQ thread" with lots of Continental information.
If you look in Continental FAQ you would realize that that section was started, however, not completed. See last post on this thread: http://flyertalk.com/forum/showthrea...=626679&page=2 Also, searching presidents club yields over 500 posts and none in the past several month specifically discussing my question. http://flyertalk.com/forum/search.php?searchid=930434 |

Just a FYI - while the FAQ will one day soon have the President's Club post, it is currently being developed (in addition to the two mammoth upgrade posts).

Yes. Buy a day pass.

That is a good idea. Can I still refund a fully refundable ticket after boarding pass was issued?

I think you are supposed to show your card and ticket. However, the policy is never enforced the same way twice. Sometimes I just give them the Amex, other times I give them card and Boarding pass, other times they ask for my ID. Basically they always ask for whatever I don't hand them... or when I hand them everything, they tell me all they needed was the card.
I can't ever win. |
Last week, BP/ID/AMEX took about 2 mins.
