777's Between EWR-IAH Gone?

I have taken the Thursday afternoon Flight 51 several times on the 777 and will be on it again tomorrow. I tried to book a similar itenerary a couple weeks out and noticed it has been replaced by a 767. Does anybody know if this is a temporary or longer term change? The 4 week schedule does not show any 777's between IAH-EWR after tomorrow.

I don't think you'll see that back until this winter. Our winter, as that EWR-IAH flight continues to EZE.

1. HKG is going to daily from 6x/week starting next Tuesday.
2. BRU started being 772 yesterday.
3. And FRA later on.

hasnt the 777 service, iah-ewr, always been hit or miss?

by that i mean... seasonal, or dependant on frequency of flights to particular destination cities operated by CO's 777's.

as for the current 777, iah-ewr, service, i thought it only existed as part of the EZE flights. there is a once a week 777 that goes ewr-iah and then a 777 goes to eze. the next day that same AC goes eze-iah and then a 777 goes back to ewr. its not neccessarily the same AC, but its a 777 none the less.

I assume demand mandates that 777's operate the IAH-EU and NRT flights or IAH could be an all 767 city (with exception to NRT- which, i think, needs a 777)

There used to be daily 772 in this route, which is the continuation of CO51 FRA-EWR-IAH. A return too, but not sure if it's continuing to FRA.

But since FRA moved to mostly 764, that daily 772 service was lost, until the Thursday EWR-IAH-EZE this last wintere.

IAH - EWR:

CO 40, 52 and for most of the week 152 are all 762.

EWR - IAH:

CO 49, 63, 51 are all 762.

As mentioned, the 772 flight has been Thursday CO51 EWR-IAH, and Saturday CO52 IAH-EWR during the past winter. Tonight's southbound and this Saturday's northbound will be the last.

You can still buy Y fares on those flights - around $1,200 roundtrip. BF seem to be sold out.
