One of the more exciting things about the upcoming iPhone is that it has a full-featured browser (Safari) running on it. But, that's another 5-6 months away...

I was giving alot of thought to the iPhone - but Cingular? Pooey! I wish Opera or Mozilla would create a full featured browser that would run on almost any mobile phone and support common web technologies like java.

I guess I will be re-thinking the Moto Q then :(

That's bad news. Being able to do OLCI and service my reservations was a major reason I was interested in something like the Moto Q in the first place.

Edited to add: I was able to check-in for a NWA flight while I was testing a Sony Ericsson P910 using Opera - but with GPRS, the process took almost 45 minutes and was extremely painful. If it could work on Opera using EVDO, that would be great.

Here's what COInsider had to say in November:

Hi Nesta, I don't yet have a timeframe for the flight status update for pda.continental.com. The pda check-in application, however, is not too far away. It's the initial stages of testing and is expected to launch in early 2007.
