CO Insider.. If you're still reading -

I suppose this could also go in the Co.com problem thread, but this seems a little more appropriate perhaps.

I placed an award ticket (IND-HNL) on hold a while back. it was half std BF, half EasyPass Y. I knew we were going to be short on points (It was coming out of my father's account). When I pulled up the reservation online, under the Mileage/Price section it said something like:
Mileage: 72,000
Available miles: 63,046
Mileage Purchase: 9,000 miles
Cost: $298 (I don't remember the exact figure, but close to this)
Tax $10

Now, not having done the math myself beforehand, I didn't realize at the time that the Award Amount was incorrect and SHOULD HAVE been 72,500. Since my mom had almost exactly 9,000 points in her account, I figured this was perfect and paid to have the miles transferred.
Then I went back to CO.com and the system no longer said I had to purchase miles. This time all it said was the award was 72,000 miles and $10.

So, I called up to have this ticketed (it was made through an agent since, big surprise, Co.com couldn't build the itinerary properly). At this point the agent explained that the award was actually 72,500 miles and I was in fact four hundred some-odd miles short. So I transferred to the .com support desk. The agent pulled up the res and verified that the system was in fact saying 72,000 miles. So she made a call to OP support. She originally said she'd ask them to transfer another 1,000 miles (from my account) w/o charge. When she came back, she said they had just done a "goodwill mileage adjustment" to bring the account up to 72,500. Fantastic.

SO, I ask to have the reward ticketed. THe agent booked the ticket (so I thought) and took care of a waitlist for one segment. Now when I went online, it said that the purchase was confirmed. At this point, I think the overwhelming majority of customers would think they're done. Unfortunately those same people would show up to the airport only to find that they have no ticket... I noticed that there was no eticket or receipt information and that it hadn't actually been ticketed. So after waiting about 10 hours just to be sure, I called in. This agent explained that the mileage/price had never been entered so she fixed that and ticketed - well, once again - not really. Next person says there's just a lot of other tickets in front of mine waiting to be ticketed - and to give it another hour. 20 hours later and still no ticket - I don't think CO has this many tickets waiting to be issued.

At this point, I'm getting tired of trying to get this ticketed. FWIW, CO.com still says 72,000 miles.
