Experience on LAS-CLE upgrades
I am a NWA PE and rarely fly CO (except yearly to GUM pretty much) - however, I am looking at taking a LAS-CLE flight - I'd leave on the redeye (0050 departure) and return on an afternoon flight.
I know upgrades are harder on CO than NW, and I'll be on a "L" fare (which is think is like NWA K fares). Any insight on upgrade percentages for me on a friday night/saturday morning departure? Looks like a 738 operating this route. Thanks. |
I wouldn't take that bet. You're on a discount economy class ticket, flights are typically quite full from LAS to CLE. Good Luck.

Most people are not leaving LAS early Sat. AM so I would say that you have chosen a good flight time to snare an UG. That being said, you may just want to call and see if you can snag a bulkhead or exit row seat since all you are going to do on the flight is sleep anyway (although they will show a movie, so bring an eyeshade if you do not want to watch it). Bring your headphones if you do and save yourself $5. Good luck on your UG. |
I have one really random experience, but on a Thursday in April (spring break time) I actually got upgraded at the gate (last minute Y fare) on a CLE-LAS, and one other non-status pax also got upgraded from a last minute Y fare. Coach was full.

Only time I took this flight was as a NW Gold and my upgrade cleared.
