I've been waitlisted for a month on LGW-IAH Friday 12/1. It just cleared yesterday 11/28. So do not give up hope.

Thanks again for all your help and advice. :)
I don't mean to beat on a dead horse, but thezipper has made me wonder...Does CO see flight 88 as one flight or two when it come to upgrading? If the EWR-IAH leg is sold out up front and F space is available on the PEK-EWR leg, will you get upgraded on the PEK-EWR leg, or not? Thanks, Scott |

A direct flight is viewed as "one" flight -- and a completely separate flight from its individual segments -- for inventory purposes. Thus, it's entirely possible for PEK-EWR and EWR-IAH to both have upgrade seats available, and yet not be upgraded if no upgrade inventory has been allocated for PEK-IAH.
Direct = BAD, worse than connecting flights Non-stop = GOOD |
