MAN Lounge Access

Hi,

I am heading to MAN in the AM for a return flight to EWR->CLE today. I see there is no CO PC lounge access in MAN however visiting the Manchester Airport WWW site I found this link:

http://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/w...AirportLounges

It indicates many of the Skyteam members can use the Servisair lounge in Terminal 2, however they mention every Skyteam member besides CO for lounge access.....Is this simply an oversight not to mention CO? Or should I expect no lounge access, I am flying BF to EWR on CO and I am a CO PC member.....what should I expect since I have never flown out of MAN?

Air France has a lounge at MAN T2 and you should be able to use that ... I have no idea about the Servisair lounge, wouldn't expect Skyteam to be using that at all. The AF lounge is small so it may be capacity controlled, also it is pretty spartan, not lavish like the BA lounge at MAN. T2 is pretty poor as a terminal with not much to do there (it is spacious but bare). I try to make sure I fly out of T3 at MAN, much nicer there.

Continental Presidents Club

CLEHillbilly,

If you PClub memebrship is annual, don't renew.

If is lifetime, write to

Mr. Larry Kellner, Chairman, CEO
Continental Airlines
1600 Smith Street
HQSEO
Houston Tx 77002

Perhaps copy Mr. Jeffery Smisek, President

The old PClub standard of Bus class treatment on the ground stopped 1/1/06. There are now many CO affiliated lounges where CO-flying economy class PClub members are not welcome.

Gord is gone!

Thank You for the replies....I will see how far my CO PC card, CO Plat Card, ticketed BF fare on CO, and my AF gold card can go with the Air France folks....previous experience tells me they will have some sort of a wild french excuse (i.e. those rules dont apply on Saturday and you must be flying AF ticket with CO# and the moon has to be full), I have heard so many of them from AF when not traveling inside of France that its ridiculous.

Thanks again for the info...wish me luck!

Either of those two should get you in to a lounge. CO should have a lounge for BF pax. And, a ST E+ on an international itinerary should have access to a ST operated lounge.

I did receive som gruff from a KE agent about not flying on KE metal when I tried to get in to their lounge in MNL, but I'm pretty sure that is not an actual requirement.

Turns out I didnt have to bother with the AF lounge facilities...CO directed me to their lounge which a Servistar Lounge (very small) that house CO, Emirates, US Air, and one other airline.

I should have tried the AF lounge while I was there to see if they would have given me grief...

Sat next to a FAM today, we had 4 on board. Very quite and he just looked bored watching movies...2 of them sat in BF on the 752.

You don't need to be flying KE out of MNL to use a KE-operated lounge, at least not according to SkyTeam rules -- for any SkyTeam airline is sufficient as long as local airport regulations don't get in the way.

CO pax do have access to a lounge in MAN. It seems small but there are really two halves to it. The people there were very friendly (and quite helpful with a reservations request I hade). They even had a nice selection of fruit for breakfast when I was there.
