Sorry you were WX'd. Is the club staying open late to accommodate displaced weather passengers?

If so, ^^^ to the club staff!

Nut Just Stuck...

...but overnighted in the on-field Marriott (at my expense of course). The first available seat to SNA Friday is at 17:40. Welcome to my new Texas office. :p

Have them rebook you and get the heck outta there:

IAH-SNA

9:20 am Y3
11:40 am Y4
2:56 pm A1 Y3

IAH-LAX
7:45 am A4 Y9

btw, had you done a bit more research, you could've gotten out of there tonight:

CO 295 IAH-LAX 10:45 p.m. (should be leaving right about now) is wide open and delayed by about 5 minutes.

There's also CO 1427 IAH-ONT delayed to leave now at 11:00 p.m. Not sure about the load on it, but they might haven been able to put you on that too.

I was in the B Terminal PC at around 300pm this afternoon, and it was a complete madhouse. Then the area around B72A had the horrible addition of 2 cancelled flights to DAL, so there were the usual assortment of screaming pax and crying babies...all sitting out in the hallways.

Thank goodness for noise cancelling headphones and a non-cancelled flight to DAL! (Although I did arrive here 2 hours late...but I arrived nonetheless!).

What is going on with the weather over there? weather.com says Houston is just fine...partly cloudy with passing showers...been that way all day.

Now I'm nervous about my flight tomorrow...if I misconnect at IAH, I won't make my LAX connection to HNL Saturday morning.

Edited: just looked at the radar map...lots of heavy rain and thunderstorms :( I hope tomorrow is better.

Tuesday was almost as bad. Departed for OAK "on time" and found ourselves "about number forty" for takeoff. It was only then that ATC decided to change the runway directions ... net result was about an hour and a half butt in seat on the ground slowing rolling around IAH.

Had a two and a half hour delay getting home on CO Connection from TYR tonight. Fortunately TYR is a nice little airport with free wi-fi. I'm flying out of IAH to DAL Friday afternoon, and hoping that this nasty weather has moved on before that.

Sniffed around at all the above options. All the Y seats were B/E, car is at SNA and wants to see me. Once ensconced in the Marriott with a 16:00 checkout time, it is a lovely office for the day. Once it was clear that I wasn't getting home last night, I didn't really mind the 17:40 departure.

I was on the same flight and I did think it was nice that we could use our laptops and phones, but a quick water service would have been nice as they did know we would be waiting for a while. Although I guess the water service could lead to bathroom runs and that could make it a bit hard on an active taxi.

Thurs: JAX->IAH. Delayed 0.75hrs. Weather in IAH.

Thurs: IAH->SDF. Delayed 1.5hrs then wait additional 1hr on the ground. Weather in IAH.

The joys of biz travel!
