Follow-up: Wiirachay Has a New Job

A while ago, I posted here that I was interviewing for a job at CO. Well, I made it through two on-site interviews and received an offer from them as a marketing analyst. However, I also interviewed with Amtrak for a Sr. Operations Research Analyst position and received an offer from them too. Since my background is in Operations Research, I decided to take the Amtrak offer. I'll be focusing on train scheduling and consists (the train make-up).

So, I'll be livin' it up going between DC and NYC on weekends since I have unlimited train privileges, even on the Acela.

Not to be too nosey, but was the pay similar between the two offers?

Like where do you live? SFO?

Houston may not be many things - but it is cheap... and I [heart] cheap!!!

Glad to hear you got the job you wanted! Good luck in it

Now if you and BigPoppa will excuse me, I need to get back to wallowing in a bathtub of ice creme.

Operations research fascinates me. Except I'm no computer modeler. Nor math jock. I'm an artist, so to speak. There must be art to your field. Or is t all numbers?
