Ok, this is a little bit Miles 101...

I need 7500 miles ASAP to get on the waiting list for a reward upgrade (TLV-EWR on Aug 27th, my guess is a lot of cancelation to come) with CO.

So, what's the easiest way right now to get 7500 miles, without any MR and knowing I don't have the CO CC?

Purchase the prestige privilege pack for about $139 from one pass service center. You will get 7500 miles from co instantly. You can check your account before you hang up to make sure the miles are there.

Bought it last week already, and if I'm correct, only one per OT member right?
My sister has a OT account too, any chance I can transfer miles from her to mine?
Maybe through Amtrak?

Since you don't already have the CO CC, that would be your ideal avenue to the miles - open a new CC account.

...but...I have no idea how fast CO posts miles, especially the sign-up bonus miles. (Some cards award bonuses upon "becoming a cardmember". Others award bonuses after 1st purchase, which by definition means after your fist statement has posted.) Probably cutting it too close even in the best-case.

What other air/hotel miles/points do you have? You're probably looking at a program-to-program conversion if you want something that will reliably post quickly.

Is it still possible to transfer from OP to Amtrak? co.com says so, but I can't figure out where...

IIRC, you can't waitlist for the upgrade unless you're already elite. Also, IRIC, the CO cc bonus doesn't post until after the first billing cycle.

If its a rush, see is buying miles is economical for you.
