CO Status Match Question

Just moved from the east coast to Texas (LGA to AUS)- where my United MP Premier Exec status will do me little good.

An email to CO One Pass suggests they'll match my United status if I send them documentation. Does anyone know if the status will only be good until 12/06?

I'm trying to choose between American and Continental right now as preferred carrier and if my CO status will expire in Dec, I'd probably be smart to delay asking American for a challenge which would probably require that I fly them for much of the remainder of the year.

Thanks for any help here -

If you comp over to CO now, your status will be good until 2008. But if you want to go from your comped Gold to Platinum on CO until 2008, you'll have to earn 75k EQMs by December 31, 2006. Remember that a status match is a once-in-a-lifetime deal.

If you do the Platinum Challenge on American, it is also good through 2008. Keep in mind that the Continental program is good once in a lifetime, whereas you can take the AA challenge every other year. Platinum on Continental is a better deal than American; however, Executive Platinum on AA (100k/year) is, IMHO, a better deal than Platinum on Continental.
