rev up?

I remember hearing about paying to upgrade from Hawaii. I tried to search the forum. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

If you are elite. and have acess to the Pres Club in HNL, she will sell you a seat for 600.00 if they are available. I don't know about stateside or if this applys to any fare code

?????

Unless there's been a BIG price increase lately, it's more like $350, give or take route, elite status, etc.

Search 'revup' or 'uprev' or see EWR-HNL Revups

The amount is based on elite status and is nowhere close to $600.

For non-elites, I know it's 2 hours prior. However, do you ask a TA or the GA?

Here's the original thread: http://flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=568619. And here's a recap of the program:

Customers on published fare tickets between the US and Hawaii are eligible for the "Rev-up" program. This applies to Continental-operated flights to/from Honolulu (HNL) and Maui (OGG). The upgrade cost for Elites (on any published fare) and customers on full-Y fares is a flat $275-$325 one way. For everyone else on a published fare, it's $350-$450 one way. Here are the details:

1. The cost. For LAX to/from HNL and OGG, the upgrade is $275 for Elites and full-Y customers and $325 for everyone else on a published fare; For IAH and EWR to/from HNL and OGG, the upgrade is $350 for Elites and full-Y customers and $450 for everyone else on a published fare.

2. How to confirm it. Elites and full-Y customers may confirm this upgrade 24 hours in advance through CO Reservations or at the airport; All other customers on published fares may confirm the upgrade within two hours of departure, and can do so only at the airport. Travel agents are not able to process these requests.

2. Other important restrictions. It's only valid on flights operated by CO, it's subject to availability (Z class must be available) and waitlisting is not permitted. It's not valid for use with free coach awards, unpublished fares, industry discount rates, unticketed reservations and ER1149/ER1181 tickets (for those of you that don't know what those are - they are free tickets donated by Continental to charities, sponsorships, travel agencies, etc.).

If you every encounter an agent that is unfamiliar with this program, simply have them refer to GG REVUP for more details.

Any Changes?

With the recent push by CO to sell upgrades anywhere they can (OLCI, kiosks, etc.), is this upgrade program still in place for Hawaii flights? And is it still based on Z class availability or has that changed too?

Still operating as it had been as far as I've heard.

Yes, still operating. I noticed OLCI offered it as well sometimes. I flew hnl-iah a few weeks ago and was offered to upgrade for $275 (which is slightly cheaper).
