Continental Boarding Music

I'm trying to think of some of the boarding music songs that play on Continental. Can anyone remember any ? Thanks !

The only boarding music I can think of is for the flights to Hawai'i ...

EWR-LGW recently were playing (rather loudly) some random 80s tunes.

On a recent FRA-EWR-FRA round trip, I was treated to 'Take A Chance On Me' by ABBA on both flights...

Almost always one Beatles song and one Sinatra song. I recall "Norwegian Wood" on one cycle. Epic song.

"Here Comes The Sun", although I don't remember hearing any boarding music on my most recent flights.

They definitely have some catchy tunes, yea the only one I could think of was "Here comes the sun" too

I think it's up to the whim of the FA whether or not they turn the system on...most of my flights are music-free...but sometimes a FA in a good mood will turn on the music during boarding, and after landing too.

As a kid flying Air Canada's 747s, DC8s and L1011s to MIA, I remember they always had boarding music - usually Dionne Warwick's "Do you know the way to san jose" and "Say a little prayer". In hindsight, neither title was very appropriate for flying :)

I tried very hard to get my hands on either a copy of the Hawai'i boarding music, or a playlist of the tunes so I could track them down myself. CO steered me to the production company they use for the inflight entertainment, who then steered me to another company that did the Hawai'i videos - but they would not give me a copy of the audio portion or tell me which music was on the playlist :(

If anyone else knows something about the music selections for that video (hint hint to CO insiders), I would love to get a list of the selections.

Given CO's hatred of low-fare travelers, the airline's new theme song should be "Gold Digger" by Kanye West...

"Now I ain't saying she's a gold digger....but she ain't messin' with no broke flyer..."

I definitely remember "Here Comes the Sun," along with Frank Sinatra, and Elton John's "Tiny Dancer." And I'm pretty sure that "Leaving on a Jet Plane" and something by Dionne Warwick were in the mix as well. I do miss the boarding music on the 737s, 757s, and ERJs. It seems like it's only on the 767s, 777s, and international flights these days, although I have had a couple of COEX flight attendants turn it on recently. And I did have it on a 753 DEN-IAH flight back in late February. But it's not like it was just a couple of years ago when they had it turned on for just about every flight.

i remember CO used to have boarding music on all flights. i thought it was pretty cool.

why would they eliminate that? that seems like something that costs nothing to run.

If I remember right, the Francis Albert track is "Strangers in the Night", probably the Reprise version, but I've always wished they'd play his versions of "The Summer Wind", "Fly Me to the Moon", and "The Best is Yet to Come", which are all soothing and make sense for traveling.
