My flight is tomorrow, and I actually do only have 38 minutes to go from Term b to E at IAH. Does the train that connects the terminals stop at gate areas, or just the one station per terminal?

The trains are one stop per terminal.
You are indeed cutting it close. However, you should make it if your inbound is on-time.
Also, are you flying Continental express for the inbound?

On many occassions, Continental keeps a good track of connecting pax. So, if they know your flight landed on time, they will probably wait for you. But do not count on that!!

As soon as you land, find a "Red-Coat"...this is a person who literally wears a Red-Coat, and works for continental. If none is around, find a gate agent at any gate...Request either the red-coat or the gate agent to call your outbound gate and tell them you are "running" (you are called "runners" literally..in airport terms)....

That will give some confidence for your connecting flight's agent that you will make it. Good luck. Keep us posted.

ROTFL!!!

My thought exactly!! The first time I saw that thing was when my CDG-IAH flight was significantly delayed and I got stuck at the Marriot overnight. It's one hell of a creepy throwback to the Disney people-mover.

Has anyone been down there during the day? I've only been down there late at night, and I'm wondering if that area is ever not a creepy abandoned Disney attraction?

I've been down there a bunch of times (I think once we proved that you could fit ~12 into one cart... CO DO IV). I've never found it creepy, but it is always abandoned down there. I wonder how much that thing costs to run and how many people ride it per day.
