Soldier escorted from plane

We were on CO434 (PHX - EWR) last night (10:30 PM Departure on 4/9) and shortly before the scheduled departure, a soldier in uniform sitting across from us (6A) got sick and threw up all over the floor and the back of the seat. I didn't see it happen, but did see him sitting there, kind of slumped over, and not looking very good. Some of the passengers said that he was on his way home from Iraq, but don't know if this is true. Anyway, after a while, two Phoenix Policemen came on board and escorted him off the plane. Maintenance came and cleaned up the area, and eventually, someone else sat in his seat. The FA's were looking for a black bag he supposedly had in the overheads, but did not find it. The flight was completely sold out. Obviously, the flight was delayed by about a half-hour, but they made up for half of it en route.

I did not find out what happened, and why he was escorted off the plane. Does anyone know what happened, and is this normal?

You were on my flight! (2B here) I had asked to put the service man as my Platinum Companion becaue he would have cleared. It seemed he was a bit sick / loaded and threw up, he was therefore deplaned not by his choice. He seemed a bit billiegerant and only wanting to "go home" - everyone felt a little bad, but hey don't get nasty with us on the plane and you could have gone home.

IAH-LAX Mon. last week, a guy gets on and then (hectic boarding, possibly oversold, etc.) decides he'll take the later one he was originally scheduled on and leaves. After sitting awhile CO decides everyone has to deplane and take their stuff with them and see if anything is left behind. Everyone except F and the forward coach cabin (753 12F). Like the guy couldn't have stuck something in there and then walked back.

I did, but he was escorted off the plane for being "sick"

What was he doing in row 6? I assume that it was a 738, as the schedule indicates for other days.

Indeed it was a 738, they have used the 73G on ocassion - I hate that.

I know his original BP said 15 (I heard the FA direct him), then he ended up in 6? bu the FA told me he somehow ended up in row 8, he was then suppose to be upgraded as my companion, which never happened (and the seat went to an employee traveling).
