10,000 Orphan Onepass miles problem
 

Hi all

As the title suggests I have 10,000 orphan Onepass miles sitting in my Onepass account.

Ideally I'd like to convert these to my Hilton account. Normally this would be no problem requiring only a transfer to Amtrak and thence to Hilton.

However I am located in Australia therefore I cannot join Amtrak Guest Rewards. My escape route is closed. (Note: I do not wish to falsely sign up as a US citizen).

Can readers suggest an alternative way of converting my miles to Hilton points or failing that, can they suggest another program that they could be converted into that has useful redemption awards?

1. U could try the AGR Contact Us page & explain that UR an Australian without a US address who plans to travel by train on your next vacation to the USA & will they please sign U up under your Oz address.
2. U could surrender & overcome your aversion by remembering that U need not pretend 2B a US citizen, just a temporary US resident by using a hotel's or borrowing a friiend's address.
3. U could transfer your CO miles into the AGR acct. of a Yankee friend or trading partner to whom U would give your CO # so he could call CO toll-free, giving your name & number & his AGR number for the transfer. He could give U something in return such as Qantas miles. I would offer this myself, but I have only 6000 QF, not enough 4a fair trade.
