Kudos and IAH Question

First the Kudos... I had my first experience yesterday with the CO.COM support staff. I was attempted to book a reward PHX-SAP and getting an error message when booking the return. Tammy was able to resolve the issue in about 30-seconds, and stayed on the line to assist me through the process, including waitlisting for upgrades on the PHX-IAH portions.

Now, the question. Mrs. AZ and I will be spending about four hours between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. at IAH. We'll probably spend some time in the PC, but, as was pointed out to me in another thread, no one in their right mind wants to spend 4-hours in a PC.
  • What recommendations would the FT brain-trust have for spending 4-hours in IAH that early in the morning?
  • What restaurants would you recommend for grabbing a bite to eat?
  • Any other information that you'd like to volunteer that would make this layover as comfortable as possible.

You can't do better than Pappadeaux's right there in the terminal, E4

Sadly, there really isn't anything to do (especially during those times) in the area around IAH, and the airport is quite far north from the center of town.

You could ride the inter-terminal train around the airport, that might kill 1/2 an hour or so... there are five terminals, so you could try to hit each one. If you feel so inclined, you could get out and explore, but since IAH puts everything of interest behind security it would probably be really boring.

The PC in Terminal E is the biggest and best one, so if you'll be hanging out that's the one you should go for.

There is a small Brooks Brothers in Terminal C. I don't have a clue if they are open that early, but they've had some great bargains for the last two weeks.

Be forewarned, the clubs don't serve alcohol prior to 12:00 on Sundays (nor do most bars for that matter....unless food is served).
