Right, people booking trips for loved ones as holiday gifts and whatnot. People do this fairly regularly, and this is a good way to cash in on that trend. People are less likely to notice or care that the fares are only slightly higher than they might otherwise be, and plunk down that extra cash.That's the far more rational explanation. That's why I was quoting the cynic in me, not the rationalist. :)
