A0 but "Premium" area empty: Common?

On the flight I mentioned in the standby/upgrade thread, I just noticed based on the seat maps, that even though it is listed as A0 and has been for weeks now, the forward "elite" part of the cabin when I currently have a seat only shows the standard blocked out bulkhead, and one other seat occupied. All the rest of the filled seats are behind the premium area.

This brings up the question: How likely is it for a 1/4 (no exageration) full aircraft to have sold out the first class cabin weeks ahead of time? Is this some kind of capacity control trickery? 14 or 18 F seats sold for an early morning Sunday flight, and no other elites? Any ideas?

Could be anything. Connecting BF pax to an int'l flight, luxury cruise passengers, who knows.

I've thought of a lot of the possibilities, I was just curious if others had noticed this before. It's very strange, and I can't seem to find it on other flights at other times, so your suggestion seems reasonable.

Lemurs, have you been drinking and booking on co.com like theblakefish? :)

I've been known to wake up and find a trip to LAS booked and ticketed when I wake up on a Saturday morning.

Hey, but at least now you can get a refund with no questions asked within 24 hours. ;)

Does the 24-hr refund rule count as a reptile-caliber ENHANCEMENT?
