Getting Onepass miles with Flybe.com (UK)
I am flying from Leeds to Southampton today.
I booked my flight with Flybe.com... and just rang up to put my OnePass account number in the booking... to which I get a response (after being told their computers were down) - that Flybe.com do not give OnePass points unless the flight was booked WITH Continental originally on a CodeShare. Is this right or was the girl talking rubbish? |
Are you familiar with the search function?
|
check this...
http://www.continental.com/onepass/e...line/flybe.asp i would simply insist they enter your number into your res. or as the link says, have it added at check-in. keep your boarding pass, so if the miles do not post, you can enter a request to OnePass for missing miles. they will want your original BP and ticket print out. |

As a follow up to the previous threads on this http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=460765 http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=372789 I've been talking with senior Continental people here in Scotland and they have sent some rumblings through the FlyBe system to let them know that Continental's customers are having problems so the situation should improve. I will be very interested to hear if anybody still has problems so please post them here. For the record here's how you are supposed to make sure you get your miles. Once you have made your booking on Flybe.com phone their general bookings number on 0871 700 0535. (From outside the UK its 00 44 13 922 685 29) Give them the PNR of your web booking (this is the booking reference PNR=Passenger Name Record) and ask them to put your Continental One Pass frequent flyer number into the booking record. If they say it can't be done, ask for a supervisor and insist that they do it. You do get 100% EQMs on ALL FlyBe flights not just the Continental code-shares so it is worth the effort. When you check in for your flight, make sure you show your One Pass card and that the agent acknowledges that the card number is in the booking. Again, if they try to tell you that they don't process the Contrinental One Pass card, ask for a supervisor. Good luck. FlyBe are not a bad outfit for a low cost operation and if you are in Europe it is a good way of topping up those base miles. |
Any more experience with this?
I have been through this with flyBE this morning and they were quite insistent that I take my booking reference and the ticket number (which they gave me over the phone) and send them to Continental for the miles, rather than using the procedure outlined above. Maybe they figure if they make it awkward enough people won't bother.... TM |
Did you call the FlyBE number above? The gate agents don't seem to have a clue about this. The ticketing people do -- if you press them. I'll be taking FlyBE again next month and will again have the pleasure of trying to get them to enter my OnePass# into the right place in the reservation. Last time only one of two flights credited properly.
Does anyone know what field to have them put the OnePass information in? If I could tell them which screen or what field to use it will be much more likely that it will get it right. |
Yes, my interaction was with the booking number above - my flight is tomorrow.
There was much "Can you hold please" but in the end there was no joy other than that they gave me the ticket number. Anyone had any joy getting credit from OnePass with the booking reference, ticket number and boarding pass? TM |

I just called FlyBE to have my OP information added, as I've not done so yet, and was told by the FlyBE *supervisor* that only Continental can do this. They gave me my ticket number and asked me to call CO. This sounds COMPLETELY wrong to me. I'll have to try again tomorrow.
Actually, the CO site says this: To receive mileage credit, present your OnePass number when you make reservations or check in for your flight. |
I have learned that I don't fly FlyBE. I used to fly Jersey European a lot (now it's called FlyBE), but I have never received miles. I have called and written but nothing's happen. So, I solved the problem by firing FlyBE. I use the lounges though. ;) If you can possibly avoid it, my opinion is don't fly FlyBE.

If you can find any other way to do that for under £50 that doesn't take all day I'm all ears. So far FlyBE has been very good, with the only exception being getting mileage credit.

It's a real pity I didn't discover FT years ago. I could have save heartache, money and gained knowledge. <sigh> I recall the person I spoke to on the phone--they gave me a number when I asked at LGW--was very helpful. I followed the instructions, but heard nothing. The problem happened over three years ago. CO now flies to BFS direct, so I don't need flyBE for that route any more. |
The FlyBe Saga continues.
I followed my own advice (see earlier in the thread) and for a trip GLA/BHX in April I phoned my One Pass number into FlyBe and asked them to put it in the reservation. I presented my One Pass Card at check-in at GLA (where it was ignored) and at BHX where the agent took a note of it on a bit of paper! The miles have not yet appeared on my account so three weeks ago I posted off my boarding cards and copy Eticket details to CO at IAH. I“m still waiting. If it wasn“t such a hassle getting miles out of FlyBe I would give them much more business as the FlyBe miles count towards base miles. However, they operate as a low-cost UK based carrier and are not geared up to play in the big full service world. Continental should review their partnership arrangement as all it seems to cause is frustration for CO“s customers. John Currently in EZE waiting for tonight“s CO52 |
