Split RT miles btwn. programs?

Hello!
I am a member of both Delta SkyMiles and Continental OnePass. I need 2,000 miles for my next reward on CO, and 2,000 for my next reward on Delta.
Is it possible to split the earned mileage for a roundtrip ticket between two different programs?
I have a roundtrip ticket booked on Delta which will earn me 4,000 miles. Is it possible to credit my outbound flight to my CO account , and the return to my DAL account?
I thought about not giving my FF number while booking and just sending in the boarding pass for the outbound segment to CO, and the return to DAL for credit. Will this work?
Also, if you are the Mileage pro, could you do the same thing on a one-way connecting flight? (ie-put the first segment on one program, and the second another)
Thanks so much for the help! Happy flying! :-)

I never heard of it actually getting credited except to a single airline. Usually if and when you try it, you will no ff credit at all.

You can do this. Just don't confuse them and try to keep it as simple as possible.

Book it on one, fly outbound, then on the return, change it to another at checkin.

Should be fine.

Thanks for the info everyone! Dlen111, so when I book with DAL, I should use my SkyMiles card to get the 1,000 bonus for booking on their website, and then on the return show the agent my CO card? Is that right? That would be fantastic! Thanks again!

exactly. when you check in for your return flight, simply notify the agent that you would prefer your OP number in the res. or you can say you accidentally entered your skymiles number at purchase and you really wanted your OP number on the res, so it doest look shaddy. although i dont think it is shaddy at all. that's all i ever did. keep all your boarding cards just in case.
