CO Chase MasterCard

Any recommendation on best sign-up bonus for the Continental MasterCard from Chase? I notice that they seem to have three versions available, with little difference other than the cost per year and number of initial bonus miles.

The classic and platinum cards are just like normal credit cards. The World card is coded differently on your credit reports as a line of credit. Even though they say there is no credit limit on the World card, there actually is, they just let you go over the initial amount (an amount only they know) but you have to pay anything over that limit on the next statement. Also, the World card is not eligible for credit line increases.

Oops, also forgot to mention, Chase's customer service is not really the best out there. The only reason why I am still with them is for the OP miles

Is it really worth if for 6000 miles for $65? Do they give you club passes or its basically only the miles

Why do you pay the $65 when theres the Amtrak card, etc

They have a new version of the World card out now. There are companion passes (two a year I think) presidents club passes etc. The annual fee for that plus 10K miles is $85 (wife has new card). I have one of the older World cards that do not have all of those benefits and I pay $65.

While Chases customer service may not be that great, they do give a generous credit line

I've had the Platnum card for years, other than getting OP miles, there's nothing special about it. Remember that you also get 1 mile for each dollar spent (and 2 miles for purchases at certain stores), so if you use it a lot then you'll end up with a lot more than 6,000 miles for your $65.

Thanks for the info. I recently upgraded my Platinum to the World card. I was just wandering, if this still applies?
Do you know if this applies to all Signature and World cards or just Chase?
