No, that's what I'm talking about as being borderline deceptive. There was a big hubbub about this is the early 90's and I thought all U.S. carriers had agreed or were compelled to stop advertising this way in the media.

BA isn't a US carrier. I haven't seen it advertised anywhere. I received it in an email from BA.

I guess I do agree that we are talking about two different things. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

DL and CO should up elites like HP and CO used to do. 2 hour airport check-in upgrades. that way CO elites would never get trumpted by a DL elite. that would give us a decent chance on DL while DL elites would never get up'd before CO's elite access Y passengers.
