Are Co.com weekly specials eligible for EUAs?

I read the rules and it didn't say that the weekly specials were not availble to be EUAed - only thing I saw was that you didn't get the online booking bonus, but did get miles, status miles and elite bonus miles.

I thought I read on FT a while back that you can't get an EUA with a weekly special. What are your experiences?

BTW - this weeks specials are about the best I've seen in a while - including Panama for $350. If I didn't just come back from Colombia this weekend, I'd use that fare to springboard me to Medellin using COPA to complete the trip.

I don't know the answer to your substantive question, but I was impressed by the computer selecting so many xxx-IAH specials. Just the place for a holiday this weekend! (I remember that IAH-PNS was among the specials on the weekend Katrina hit also... the computer appears to have a macabre sense of humor.)

A little over a year ago I got EUA'd and was able to get my wife a companion UG at the gate on a special EWR-PBI.

I think it might still be the case.

Yes, the weekend specials are eligible for EUAs. Keep in mind the fact that these fares are X fares, just about the lowest of the low, so you'll be way down the upgrade list for your elite level.

As for the issue of specials into IAH this weekend, don't forget that those specials work in both directions. They might be a good way for Houston area passengers to get out of town for the weekend. Of course this is assuming that CO's ops at IAH are up and running as planned on Saturday morning. Depending on what Rita does, this may or may not happen.

This weekend's list is pretty good though. I've never seen IAH-ANC on a weekend special, and for the first time in ages IAH-NYC is available.

It was available at least one of the previous two weekends as well (not to EWR, of course, but LGA and/or JFK.
