What PC in IAH to use?

Greetings -

Girlfriend going YYC-IAH-LGW (has 3 hours in IAH).

Looks like the flights to Europe take off from D-wing (I've personally never been to IAH...) So would the D-wing PC be the best choice?

Is there any difference in PC's, or is there comprable high-speed computer access / snackies / free booze in each? Thx..

All four of the IAH clubs are similar in most respects. The selection of snacks and drinks is the same at all of them. One of the C clubs has showers available, but that is the only thing that really makes it different from the other club in C. The B and D clubs are smaller and generally less crowded than the two C clubs. My rule is just use the one closest to your gate. I do have a personal preference toward the B and D clubs though, because they are usually quieter and have fewer people in them.

I'd use the one closest to my gate of departure.

As for differences between the four lounges, the D concourse lounge has no toilet facilities. The previous poster commented that the C & D lounges are less crowded. I would strongly disagree. I think the B & D lounges are less crowded, though D can be busy at the peak departure hour. The two locations on Concourse C are almost always crowded.

"D" is my favorite as it almost always has newspapers even later in the day etc and it is usually quieter as it is the smallest. The restrooms are closeby outside, have more stations than the the usual PC ones, and usually not very busy. FWIW I always stick with the PC closest to my gate.

I like the D lounge a lot, except for the whole restroom thing. Still, I wouldn't use either of the C lounges instead, that's for sure.

Oops! My typo. I meant to say B and D were less crowded -- I'd never argue that the C clubs were the least used!

While the D lounge may have less occupants it is also smaller. I feel very claustrophobic in the D lounge. I would use the C lounge just because they seem more airy and the restrooms are inside the facility. Also the C lounges are closer to the food court area if you decide to get a bite to eat before boarding. Once you make the hike to the D terminal you really don't want to go back. Personally I would stop by C terminal North P-Club and if it seems to busy go ahead and make your way down to the D terminal P-Club.

Anyone know when the new club in E will open?

I can't tell you when the E President's Club will open. I can, however, tell you that I've enjoyed spending my IAH layovers at Pappadeaux's. This must be among the best airport restaurants in the US.
